General Information

About this workshop: This Software Carpentry course is an introductory course covering using the Unix command line shell, Programming in Python and Version Control with Git. Learners are not expected to have any prior knowledge of these topics. It will be possible to only attend part(s) of this workshop - for example, to come to the Git section but not the other two. If you would like to do this, there should be a section on the sign up form to indicate this. Please do also feel free to email us about it. We will send around more detailed timings on when each section will be nearer the time. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us.

Who can attend?: This workshop is open to all staff and students from the National Oceanography Centre. Limited numbers are available for other organisations who collaborate with the National Oceanography Centre.
